So, I'm going to make a suggestion about something that will probably be controversial, but I'm going to go for it.

Why does it specifically matter for those guys? I do get that it may be because it damaged their reputation, but saying that suggests that no one who did stuff like that should be allowed here. Like IShowSpeed is apparently not allowed here (note I don't have any interest in Speed personally, but still) because he "has been into multiple controversies", well okay, but so has MrBeast (who is still one of the most respected people on the site). I do get Dream causing drama (and the alternative accounts), and I also understand someone like SSSniperWolf who had her reputation killed by what happened a few months ago, but I just wanted to ask why some of them have specific matters over those things.

Maybe a solution would be to merge all of those ones with a bad reputation online into a batch of "anyone who doesn't have positive reception" or whatever. Just my thoughts.

One of the things I was planning on doing was getting rid of it entirely, as the decision should ultimately be up to the users of the wiki, but in the meantime I had trimmed the list from the previous 26 names to just 7.

In my opinion, if their content is good, they belong here. Being a good YouTuber is based on content, not personality (at least not generally speaking).

@Money12123: Well, I agree, but my point was, why should we summarize them based on a few controversies? Again, unless it caused considerable polarization like Dream, or if it caused everyone to turn against them like SSSniperWolf, getting into controversy a couple times shouldn't be enough to disallow them entirely if they are otherwise liked.

Forbidden pages should always be up to scrutiny since they tend to be added rather arbitrarily. Imo the ideal is a consistant standard you can apply, then list exceptions with clear why's as needed.

Sorry for not responding, but that is technically true. Still, I feel like what stays forbidden should be regarding something so divisive to the point we wouldn't be comfortable adding it on either side (for example, that's the reason I decided to forbid Boyinaband and his viral song "Don't Stay in School" from being on HMW - because of the argument that "he was never taught what laws there are" - in all seriousness, following his sexual allegations, it'll probably lead to everyone being overly critical over unproven things or people being super defensive because, again, they were never proven true).

The Game Theorists fans, I have a sad announcement to make: MatPat is retiring YT in March. The page is protected though, but when the time comes, some admins will change the infobox from active to retired. Farewell, MatPat. You were one of the best people on the internet...

It's been about 2 weeks since Roley invaded this wiki, and they haven't been vandalizing anymore page since then, so it looks like things are going a lot better for this wiki than they did the past 2 months. Also, I don't wanna gloat or nothing, but it looks like I saved this wiki from a possible closure (and maybe Money did, too), and it's all thanks to Tali giving me admin rights when things were looking pretty dire for this place. It looks like Amazing YouTubers Wiki will have a future, after all.

The vandal problem won't go away through time (though it may appear that way); some time ago, I implemented an abuse filter to prevent page blanking (largely construed), which will help a lot in dealing with vandalism of that nature. I share your sentiment about this wiki and Netpedia as a whole.

I'll do my best to keep an eye out for him.

delete The SMR page because he got exposed for grooming

I've reviewed the evidence and am on the fence on what to do. On one hand, the age difference between the SMR and the victim of his alleged grooming is slight (only 2-3 years) and the age of consent in the SMR's home state (South Dakota) is 16, the same age as the victim at the time the grooming occurred; on the other, asking a minor for nudes is illegal and the victim was under the age of consent in her home state (18). If another administrator decides to delete the page, I would not be opposed to that.

@YeetPolice: and @Tali64³: I'm sorry, but I must opine something here. Does this really justify an outright deletion? Them being a bad person in real life does not make their content bad. I'm not defending their actions by any means, but I think there should still be a disambiguation between their personality and their actual content. It's just like how a musician being a bad person does not make their music bad.

Also, take a look at this. The user who has commented here may be associated with a YouTuber of the same name who has been involved in toxic behaviour.

Guys I know this sounds off topic, but I really recommend you guys to not trust this user called: CJWorldGame32125, he tried blocking me for a bad reason on NQP, he is a power hungry tyrant, he demoted Robin who was a great admin which was one thing, but replacing him with inactive admins just because they were admins in old QP is what crossed the line. Oh and also, he tried making a page about himself on here! (I’m not kidding!)

Please stop bringing up issues you've had with other users; it's disruptive and offtopic as you bring up.

Money accidentally included a bit of GET variable in his link (which I presume to be an interwiki link), which meant that he was linking to another page altogether (you repeated this mistake in your link); this is the correct link.

There was a certain part of the talk page that I tried to link to though (the last one, "I would like to inform you about something" to be specific). I wanted to point the link directly to that.

For some reason I have had trouble using hashtags to link to certain sections on pages on other wikis on Miraheze. I'm not sure why it's happening, but it does.

Can we also add hbomberguy? I kow it used to have a page on Rotten Websites Wiki but that's because hbomberguy was left wing, and Rotten Websites Wiki was...y'know. You can even check the page and find that it's a lame page.

Within the past few months, Netpedia wikis have been getting hit by vandalism. I recently decided to joun the server to see if anyone there is active and the server also got hit by vandals/trolls. Another thing, the stuff that the vandals have been posting range from just basic trolling to graphic nsfw. Does anyone here have any ideas on how to stop the vandalism?

Perhaps get a Steward to help out? They don’t seem too responsive on the noticeboard, but might as well give it a shot. If that doesn’t work, I’m believing we ban Roley whenever they alt until they eventually get bored of vandalising the Netpedia wikis (which they eventually will, at least I hope so, even if it takes several more months) and just leave, OR we continue trying to attract Steward attention until such action eventually occurs.

For the latter option, we should try and get Steward attention using a variety of methods that DO NOT break the rules. Not sure on what methods we’d use though, sorry :P, any ideas?

I do have at least 1 option: that's to lock editting pages to confirmed or autoconfirmed users only. I know it's a bit extreme, but it might be the best sollution to stopping Roley from vandalizing this wiki any longer. That sounds like a better idea than what I had if you remember.

The wave of vandalism caused by Roley may set a precedent for other vandals to attack Netpedia; if things get really bad, I may have to enable Moderation.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is Roley; I can tell from the username and the fact that it added an anime-related video to a few pages it vandalized, which is something Roley would do.

I figured that he was a kid who got grounded for this by his parents and I figured this was a different vandal but I guess not. I figured Roley is potentially a kid due to his username being that of a pre school cartoon character which I found out. I think I mentioned this before. When will Tali come back?

Yeah, it's very unlike Tali to be inactive for this many weeks. I get that he has a life outside of the internet that he has to take care of (who doesn't?), but you'd think he'd be active enough to handle the Roley situation himself.

I will say Roley is from Bob The Builder, which is from a preschool show, but it isn’t really that hot among the current generation of kids (more likely they’re gonna watch Cocomelon or even something like Skibidi Toilet). Also, regarding Tali, we should assume the worst regarding them, (aka they’re probably gonna be out for quite an extended period of time if not indefinitely) since they have been completely absent throughout the entirety of November.

I'll keep my eye for Roley or any other vandal, though I have school still so I may not be as active but I'll keep my eye out when I catch a vandal. I wonder what his deal with vandalizing Netpedia Wikis are.

Also, no admins are active on Creative Wikis Wiki as far as I know so a FANDOM staff has been blocking the vandals there and reverting their changes but didn't delete the NSFW discussion posts from the vandals.

I'm just glad that Roley hasn't gotten this whole wiki shut down in the next couple of months.

Though he did get Abysmal Gacha Videos Wiki shut down, and that wiki was already up for deletion for inactivity anyway. Something tells me he or a different vandal may return in the following month since school usually goes out for winter break so I'll do the best I can to watch until then and if the vandals return then.

That's what I've been told. I didn't see everything this vandal did since I was away doing other things but I came back after being told by someone about this raid of his. Do you also think that Roley is a kid that recently got grounded or something cause I think so. What makes me think this vandal is a kid is his username. As you can already tell, things are looking incredibly grim for this wiki, and it's all thanks to Roley and their sockpuppets that've been vandalizing a great many pages here, and with the exception of me, this wiki's staff isn't really doing anything about it; even Tali, one of the most respurceful admins on any wiki, hasn't been doing very much to stop Roley from harming this wiki.

So far, because of what I've just mentioned above, administrating this wiki has been extremely stressful, and normally I'd resign because of the issues going on, but things would get so much worse due to the apparent lack of administration, and it'll probably be shut down in the next few months unless something is done about Roley. Additionally, I'm not really sure if I wanna keep going and keeping this place from its death or just leave it to die and let Roley finish it off for good.

Because of this, we need more admins than ever to become active enough to get this whole wiki back on its feet and stop it from ending up like Weirdcyclopedia on ShoutWiki. I wanna hear your thoughts on this matter.

Well, you do seem pretty productive at Reception Wikis Wiki, so I suppose you could become a new admin here.

I would become an administrator but I am currently not very active on Miraheze, and I am also not in very good standing. I do hope this wiki doesn't collapse though. It honestly feels like the entire Reception Wiki community fell apart after Qualitipedia shut down, as the majority of ex-Qualitipedia users have left the Reception Wikis and Miraheze altogether, and have moved on, thus leaving a few of us behind to pick up the pieces and keep together what's left. In an oddly poetic turn, Miraheze also faced financial hardships and the original organization shut down not long after Qualitipedia did.

Sorry, but I'm really not sure if you're qualified to be an admin here, considering your... uh... thing with Qualitipedia, despite its closure, and your reputation amongst most of the Miraheze community.

Think I can get rehired? I did go onto the Steward noticeboard about the admin thing and having me regain my bureaucracy status but they have yet to reply.

I'm opposed to bureaucrat, however, I'm fine with adminship.

Look, I know Pacsonic made so many mistakes as a bureau, but if he truly has redeemed himself and is willing to take bureaucracy more seriously, then maybe he can earn it by becoming an admin first, see how he does with that kind of role, and then maybe we can discuss giving him his bureau rights back.

Actually, as a part of Netpedia policies, he cannot become a bureaucrat unless he is a network bureaucrat, as he is not previous bureaucrat before Netpedia formed.

@Pacsonic9000: I know we've talked about this, but I do hope that you'll take more responsibility in your bureaucracy than you did in the past. However, if you truly have changed for the better, then maybe the Stewards will be willing to make you a bureaucrat of this wiki again.
