UrinatingTree is an American YouTuber who commentates on all the latest sports news and changes that the teams have made.

Why He's Amazing

  1. All of his series such as "The Hater's Guide To", "Lolcows", "A Legacy Of Failure", "Congrats!" and "This Week In Sportsball" are super hilarious.
  2. He uses a lot of great music and memes in his videos.
  3. He does an awesome job on a team's brief history and how they came to be, or how they've faired over the years.
  4. For the most part, whenever he predicts who makes the playoffs, he knows some that his prediction would be wrong and makes fun of himself for it.
  5. He doesn't call people out for which team they're rooting for.
  6. The way he mocks a team's mistake in his videos are very well done and funny.
  7. The running gags of sports on his channel are really funny. Here are some examples:
    1. Whenever the Los Angeles Chargers lose a game or make a mistake, he will usually say “Fuck you, Spanos!”, which refers to Dean Spanos, the owner of the Chargers.
    2. Specific names for sports teams. For example, the New York Jets are referred to as “the Butt Fumble”, which was the name given to an infamous play on Thanksgiving in 2012 against the Patriots, where former quarterback Mark Sanchez ran into the backside of his own player and fumbled the ball.
    3. The 2018 Steelers are referred to as the “Days of our Steelers” (a parody of the soap opera Days of Our Lives) after a series of conflicts occurred with the team that season.
  8. Prior to mid-2016, he did reviews on old video games which were decent.
  9. Tank Bowl!!!

Bad Qualities

  1. He can sometimes over exaggerate and rage in a few videos.
  2. Some of his videos haven't aged well:
    • His "Congrats, Dodgers!" (2017) and "Congrats, Astros!" haven't aged well due to the sign-stealing controversy of the Astros using cameras to predict their opponent's pitching
    • In many of his earlier videos he often makes fun of the Washington Capitals prior to them winning the Stanley Cup in 2018.
      • He also said that in the San Jose Sharks' Legacy of Failure notes that the Sharks' two wins in the 2016 Stanley Cup Finals gave them "more playoff success than the [St. Louis] Blues and [Washington] Capitals combined." The next two Stanley Cup Champions after the video was uploaded were... the Capitals and the Blues.
    • In the week 1 "Sportsball" episode about the 2017 NFL season, after the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cleveland Browns 21-18, Tree says "Brownies, you may be getting out of the basement this year. A six-win season awaits!". Instead, the Browns finished 0-16, the second team after the 2008 Detroit Lions to lose every game in a 16-game schedule.
    • While lamenting how "fucked" the NBA was during his Haters Guide to the 2018 NBA Finals, Tree rattles off teams that his commentators had tried to tell him would take the reins to prevent yet another Cavaliers/Warriors Finals, corpsing derisively when he lists the Toronto Raptors. The joke ended up being on him; the very next year saw the Raptors not only make the Finals, but emerge victorious in a 6-game series against those same Warriors to win the Championship and, in his own words, "unfuck" the NBA.
    • "Congrats, Lightning! (2019)" features an evisceration of the Tampa Bay Lightning, who had just been swept by the 8th-seeded Columbus Blue Jackets as the President's Trophy winners, with Tree stating that the Lightning are all but destined to failure with their current team and coach. Come the next season, said coach and core returned (including all the players specifically called out by Tree himself) and became Stanley Cup champions.
